Blog Tour: Ripped by Katy Evans

Every woman wants me--except the one I sing for.

Seattle shakes with anticipation: they call it the concert of the year. They say girls are getting pregnant just thinking about my band being in town.

But when you love a girl, you don't leave her with nothing but a ring and a promise. Any man with half a brain should know.

So what did I expect my girl would do when she saw me again?

Well, for starters, she loathes our music. Particularly the song I wrote about her.

When I sing it, the stadium is in an uproar. Thousands of fans scream my name like I'm a god--but yeah, not her. Crystal clear: the girl's not happy to see me.

Black hair, black boots, a bad attitude, that's her -- Pandora Stone is a freaking man-eater and she's out for my blood.

That's alright.

Let her come at me. Because I'm out for her heart and, this time, there's no way she can stop me.

Yay!  Pandora's story is here.  This is definitely a pick and read until you are finished kind of story.  I felt like I was reading Real for the first time, even though the characters and storyline are completely different, it just felt like a 'Katy Evans' book and I freaking loved it!

"There are people who have an effect on your life.  And then there are people who become your life.  Like he did."

Pandora has a secret, her first love Mackenna Jones is the lead singer in a band that now sells out stadiums across the country.  His band is playing in her city which means she can finally get revenge on the boy who broke her heart all those years ago.  She thinks it will give her satisfaction and closure on a part of her life that still hurts her now.  She enlists the help of Melanie and after causing a huge scene at his concert, she finds herself in a position where she has to face up to the consequences of what she did. She will have to spend three weeks on the road with Mackenna and his band.  In close proximity.

"I try to find something to hate in the way he looks, but there 's nothing.  I can't even say I hate that little gleam in his eye, which screams, Bad boy, bad boy.  I'm a fucking bad boy and I'm going to fuck with your life."

This puts her right back into Mackenna's life and damn, has he gotten even hotter with age  All those feelings of lust and attraction come right back, flooding over both of them like a tidal wave.  I got completely pulled under too, desperately reading to keep up with all the intensity between this couple.

What Mackenna doesn't know is that he has barely lifted the lid on Pandora's box and the more time they spend together, the weaker the hinges are getting.  Pandora doesn't want to feel what she is feeling for Mackenna, everything about him takes her back to their past and it is full of hurt and sorrow.  The draw they have to each other is like an addiction and when they cave into what they are feeling it is so freaking hot!!

To Pandora though, this is just a temporary thing, as soon as the 3 weeks are up she is out of there.  Too much has happened to ever make her think that they can work things out.  Mackenna has a different take on the situation, he has never stopped loving this girl and is determined to win her heart back, for keeps this time.

Pandora will discover that she is not the only one who has secrets and when truths are told she begins to question everything she has held onto these past years, since she last saw Mackenna.  When her lid is lifted will Mackenna turn his back on her for the final time?

This book completely hooked me in and everything else going on in my life got put aside until this was finished.  I love it when a book manages to make itself the highest priority in my day without me realising it.  Another fantastic addictive read from Katy.

Katy Evans grew up with books and book-boyfriends until she found a real sexy boyfriend to love. They married and are now hard at work on their own happily ever after. Katy loves her family and friends, and she also loves reading, walking, baking, and being consumed by her characters until she reaches “The End.” Which is, hopefully, only the beginning…
