Giveaway, Review & Tour: Waiting for You by Shey Stahl

5 Review
Goodreads SummaryBailey Gray is tired of her perfectly planned life. Everything about her life has been organized and lived out to the expectations set of her parents. She is the class valedictorian, has perfect grades, the perfect friends, a perfect boyfriend, basically perfect life...or so everyone thought. That's when she realizes the path planned isn't always the path chosen.
On graduation day she makes a decision. One that changes everything she thought she knew about her intended future.
On a whim, she runs away with the town rebel, Dylan Wade, in search of the unknown.
Dylan Wade isn't looking to run away from anything.
He knows what he wants as he's been waiting on it for years.
On a journey to find the unknown, they discover a friendship they once knew along the open highway and have not a care in the world. Between the yellow and white lines of the heated summer asphalt, a spark draws them together as Dylan's past and Bailey future try to ripe them apart.
Could it be that Dylan and his GTO are exactly what her perfectly planned life needs?
My ThoughtsHave you ever read a book where you are left feeling as though it has ripped you heart out? And even though you get it back in the end, there is still a piece of it missing? Like the characters wrapped you up so tightly, that even once finished, you leave a piece of yourself with them? Well, Waiting for You was that type of book for me.
I knew as soon as Bailey got into Dylan's car, things for her would never be the same. It was a huge gamble on her part, considering  they hadn't spoken in years. But it was one she had to take. There was no way she could continue on the path she was on. Even before you knew the truths of her life, if was very obvious that Bailey had blinders on to those around her. And Dylan Wade was just the person to help her take them off.
It is rare for an author to have to the ability to make you feel like a part of the story. But Ms. Stahl does it here. I felt like I was on that road trip with Dylan and Bailey. i laughed right along with them when things got crazy (note to self: never go cow tipping!) and the awkwardness during those moments that neither of them knew what to say in fear of breaking the moment. And i definitely felt the sexual tension! Dylan has a way with words and let me tell you, i needed a cold shower and a cigarette (I don't even smoke!) after reading his dirty talk. H-O-double T HOTT I tell ya!!
But there is a darkness that loomed over their journey. You could sense it the moment it began, that something was going to ruin it. There were secrets being kept, fits of jealous rage, anger at not understanding the why's of things. There was a whole host of issues that began weighing heavily on the budding relationship between Dylan and Bailey. But the more the dark tried to overtake it, the more they chose to ignore it. There is only so long that you can run before things catch up to you, though.
The last quarter of this book had me scared. I was ready to throw my iPad across the room (I quickly reconsidered because then how would I find out what happens if my iPad is broke?). So, with tears streaming down my face, I kept on reading. I needed to know to know that they each got a HEA, even if it wasn't together. And I am glad I did because I got what I was looking for and so much more.
A few things that I really loved were getting a few chapters from Dylan's POV. Although, I have to say, the one I would have loved to see was the morning at the hotel when he was pretending to be asleep. And I LOVED LOVED that one of my favorite bands, Framing Hanley, got a mention or two in here. And the best part??
