Blindfolded Innocence

Blindfolded Innocence

By Alessandra Torre

In looking at the cover of this book, I almost didn’t read it.  I don’t know what it was but it did not wow me.  You know what they say—don’t judge a book by its cover—well this is the book that falls in that category.

Julia Campbell, a pre-law student, has just broken off her engagement.  She is now free, well until she begins her internship at a prestigious law firm. Her boss has warned her to stay away from one of the partners in the firm, Brad De Luca.  He tells her that De Luca is bad news and she needs to stay clear of him.

Brad De Luca is one of the best divorce attorneys.  Brad has made quite a reputation for himself.  He has slept with pretty much every woman that has crossed his path, including his clients.  He is straight forward and very persuasive.  He does things his way—always.  He is also incredibly hot!!!

Julia, who loves a challenge, does pretty good at staying away from De Luca.  She only meets him once and concludes that he is a jerk and wants to keep away from him, but continues to think about him. She doesn’t want to risk her internship.

Then a phone call comes to Brad and it peaks his interest in Julia and he has to meet her.  Really meet her.  Julia does very good at holding him at arms-length, but Brad LOVES a challenge.  He lives for it.  So the hunt is on!

The hunt goes to Vegas where I guess---what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas????  Hmmm.. not sure about that one.  There is so much that happens in Vegas.  The bottom line for me was….I wanted to kick and scream at Brad here.  I was pissed at him.  All I could think was WTF???  Who in the hell would do that???  Obviously him!

There is lots sexual tension between Brad and Julia.  There are m/f, f/f and m/f/m scenes in this book.

I really enjoyed this book and didn’t want it to end.  I wanted to know what was going to happen.  I stayed up until 2am trying to stay away to finish it.  I didn’t want to put it down.  I am super excited for the second book and am so glad that I got past the cover!
